The Opportunity
Our client provides comprehensive fund servicing solutions for both open-end and closed-end alternative investment funds, including hedge funds and private capital strategies. The firm offers a broad suite of services that can be delivered individually or as integrated solutions through a network of strategic partners.
The organization is seeking a Director of Business Development to drive new client acquisition, expand market presence, and support continued growth within its alternative fund solutions business.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients and increase revenue across fund administration and related service offerings.
Build, manage, and advance a pipeline of new business opportunities, including emerging fund launches and competitive replacement opportunities.
Serve as a trusted advisor to prospective and existing clients, delivering tailored solutions and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
Enhance the firm's market presence and reputation throughout the region.
Leverage and expand relationships with investment managers, fund sponsors, trustees, legal counsel, auditors, and other industry influencers.
Lead the full sales cycle, including prospect identification, meetings, presentations, proposal development, and deal management.
Partner with colleagues across business lines and geographic regions to achieve strategic objectives.
Develop a strong understanding of the firm's products, services, and value proposition.
Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities across service lines and client relationships.
Work closely with marketing, operations, legal, onboarding, and other internal teams to support business development efforts.
Provide market intelligence and contribute to strategic initiatives, including product development and service enhancements.
Monitor industry trends and identify new business opportunities.
Maintain compliance with internal reporting processes, CRM requirements, and other business procedures.
Qualifications
10+ years of relevant experience in financial services, banking, fund administration, private equity, hedge funds, or prime brokerage.
Established network within the alternative investment industry, including fund managers, sponsors, trustees, law firms, and other key market participants.
Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior executives and complex organizations.
Deep knowledge of financial markets, alternative investments, and asset management.
Proven success in business development, sales, and relationship management.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to sell complex solutions and navigate client objections effectively.
Consistent track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
High energy, strong self-motivation, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
